Frequently Asked Questions

Do you ship worldwide?

We currently ship to most countries, excluding Mexico.

For more details on international shipping, including taxes and duties, please refer to our shipping policy.

Do your sketchbooks lay flat when opened?

Yes! Our sketchbooks are designed with a lay-flat binding, making it easy for artists to work across both pages without interference. This binding also helps you work comfortably, whether sketching, journaling, or creating full spreads.

What paper type is used in your sketchbooks, and is it suitable for all media?

Our sketchbooks feature high-quality watercolor paper made from a 50/50 blend of cotton and cellulose, with a fine tooth that works well for most media, including pencils, colored pencils, pastels, ink, water-based markers, and water-based paints like gouache or watercolor.

Please note: The absorbent nature of 50% cotton paper may cause heavy water or excessive watercolor use to seep through. We’re working on a sketchbook tailored for watercolor artists—coming soon!

Paper is not suitable for alcohol markers.

For detailed media compatibility, please refer to the product information for each sketchbook.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes, we offer free shipping on US orders over $99!

As a small US based business, we’re currently unable to provide free shipping internationally, but we hope to make this possible in the future.

Thank you for your understanding and support!

Care tips for maintaining your sketchbook?

  • The Drawing Diary and Field Artist sketchbooks are designed for mixed media and are best suited for light watercolor washes rather than heavy applications. Excessive water may seep through the pages. Allow each layer to fully dry before adding more paint.
  • The paper is made of 50% cotton, which naturally absorbs oils. To maintain its performance, avoid touching the paper too much while working, as oils from your hands may reduce its absorbency.
  • These sketchbooks feature a sewn binding with a convenient lay-flat design. With frequent use, the center seam may begin to split. While this might look unsightly, it will not affect the durability of the sketchbook, as the binding is securely sewn. If needed, you can easily repair the spine using pH-neutral bookbinding glue.
